Maurice Nespor
Maurice Nespor was born in Kansas in 1937 and graduated in architecture from Kansas State University in 1961. Recognized in Northern Nevada for his striking architectural designs, he has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the prestigious Nevada Silver Medal, presented by the Nevada Society of the American Institute for Architects.
“A career in architecture has given me discipline for the task and insight into the principles of composition,” he states. Well known for his richly-textured pastel landscapes. Nespor’s method of layering and texturing the surface brings added dimensional value to the work and allows the viewer to examine the surface while experiencing a continual range of movement and depth.
