"Growing up hiking and camping the Sierras, I have always had a strong appreciation of the natural world. When I moved from my hometown of Reno, Nevada to Bozeman, Montana I was following a desire to explore my relationship with such cyclical, balanced beauty. It was in Montana that I found a deep solace and inspiration in the presence of natural beauty and decided photography could help me express what I was blessed to see, and therefore, to feel. I had the wonderful opportunity to attend a residency program at the Maine Photographic Workshops where I decided to pursue my passion as a career. After traveling to various art fairs, showing my Bloom portfolio in galleries and boutiques as well as shooting high end custom homes, interiors and gardens, I am fulfilling a dream of mine by living in London. Georgia O'Keefe once said, "I can't sing so I paint." Well, I can't sing and I can't paint so I photograph. I love photography almost as much as I love freedom of expression and the appreciation of creativity and beauty. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about my work: info@joleneadamsphoto.com. My photos are currently represented by redcover.com, a London based image gallery as well as Taylor's Art and Soul, a gallery based in Sacramento, California. I would be more than happy to provide you with pricing on a selection of archival prints. I also welcome the opportunity for commissions as well as continue to shoot many gardens and homes so keep 'my eye' in mind. "
I feel the world is full of paradoxes. Comparisons arise through the dichotomies though, which is highlight and challenge elements of life. And personally, flowers perfectly and beautifully symbolize, both literally and metaphorically, representations of a larger whole: the strength and the delicacy, the male and the female, the real and the surreal, the pride and the disguise...the fleeting yet the forever moment of now, of the bloom. I hope my images become meditations. By concentrating on form and color as well as focusing on the parts that make up the whole, I feel I am able to elicit innate feelings of understanding and therefore peace.
